Leah Ersoylu, Ph.D. is President of Ersoylu Consulting, a consulting firm dedicated to delivering philanthropic strategy and research services to clients in all sectors- public and private- engaged in meaningful social change. The firm is committed to serving clients working to strengthen communities and ensure sustainable, measurable impacts. She has evolved to become a leader in the field, having spent nearly 20 years working at the nexus of philanthropy and metrics. She has trained and consulted hundreds of organizations on effective advocacy strategies, and meaningful impact measurements.
Leah has authored several academic, peer-reviewed publications on community engagement, policy assessment and metrics and has taught courses on philanthropy, public policy, and nonprofit management. She holds a B.S. in Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire and a Ph.D. in Political Science, with a focus on public policy, from University of California, Irvine.
When not working to support her clients, she is dedicated to volunteering in her community. She served on the Board of Directors of St. Joseph Health Community Partnership Fund (2009-15). She served as a Parks & Recreation Commissioner in her city of Costa Mesa, CA (2017-2019). She served on the Costa Mesa Public Services & Housing Committee (2013-17). She currently serves on the Community Health Initiative- Orange County (CHIOC) Strategic Advisory Board (2015-present). When not working, she enjoys basketball, biking, yoga and improving her Turkish, Spanish and French.
