Joan McBride has more than 30 years of professional experience in the nonprofit sector, primarily in fund development. She began her career as an intern at her undergraduate alma mater, UCI, followed by fund development positions with several nonprofit hospitals, including Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. Since forming her consulting practice in 1996, she has consulted with more than 50 organizations on projects such as annual giving, major gifts, case for support development, special events management and development assessments.
Ms. McBride has earned two professional certifications in fund development: the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) and the FAHP (Fellow, Association of Healthcare Philanthropy). In addition to a BA in Psychology from UCI, she also holds an MBA from Cal State Long Beach.
